To commemorate 60 years in business, EPI-HAB Phoenix, Inc. is donating a total of $60,000 to local nonprofits in the coming months. To-date, EPI-HAB’s “Six Decades of Service” celebration has included giving a $6,000 gift to Lura Turner Homes, a $3,000 check to The Epilepsy Foundation of Arizona, $10,000 in support of tumor and epilepsy research at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, and most recently, a $3,000 check to the Arizona Animal Welfare League & SPCA (AAWL).
This last donation makes EPI-HAB a sponsor of the no-kill shelter’s youth programs, which include field trips, teen workshops, summer camps and birthday parties.
Why AAWL?
When EPI-HAB first began planning its 60th Anniversary Celebration, it asked its customers which community non-profits they supported and which they would like to see benefit from EPI-HAB’s “Six Decades of Service” celebration. AAWL was among the thoughtful responses.
About AAWL

Founded in 1971, AAWL operates the state’s oldest and largest no-kill shelter, as well as the most comprehensive humane education program in the Valley, with classes for adults and children’s camps. The organization also offers a clinic providing low-cost veterinary services at its central Phoenix campus. AAWL receives no federal or state funding. All revenue is from private donations and fundraising efforts. Learn more at: www.aawl.org
